Terms of Service

The Japanese Terms of Service are the original text. This English version follows them faithfully, with additional provisions for users outside Japan (Sections 5, 6, and 8). If the two versions conflict, the Japanese version prevails, except where the mandatory law of your place of residence provides otherwise.

These terms set out the conditions for using Sports Reflection Journal (VoiSpo; “the app”), provided by Catalyst Inc. (株式会社カタリスト), Tokyo, Japan (“we”). By using the app, you are considered to have agreed to them.

1. What the app is

The app is a tool for recording reflections on sports practices and games by voice or keyboard, with AI that organizes, categorizes, and gives feedback on what you record. Your notes are stored on your device; on the paid plan you can optionally use an encrypted automatic cloud backup (see the Privacy Policy for details).

2. Eligibility (use by minors)

• Children under 13 may not use the app
• If you are a minor, use the app with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. A minor who uses the app is considered to be doing so with that consent
• A minor purchasing the paid plan must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian

3. Important notes about the AI coach

• The AI’s organizing and feedback are reference information meant to help you organize your notes and notice things — they are not training instruction or medical advice
• Using the app is no guarantee of improved athletic performance
• For anything involving pain, injury, or your physical condition, always consult a professional — a doctor or a trainer. Do not use the AI’s output as the basis for dealing with pain or injury
• The AI’s output can contain mistakes. The original text can always be viewed and restored

4. Prohibited conduct

• Unauthorized access to the app’s APIs or servers, abuse through reverse engineering, or excessive automated requests
• Use that violates the law or public order and morals

5. Paid plan (in-app purchases)

Where a paid plan is offered, its price and contents are shown on the purchase screen. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period, and purchases, cancellations, and refunds follow the rules of Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play). You can cancel from each OS’s subscription management screen. Your purchase is also subject to the terms of the store you bought it from (Apple Media Services Terms or Google Play Terms of Service).

6. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and except where caused by our intent or gross negligence, we accept no liability for interruption, changes to, or termination of the app, or for damages arising from its use. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities; where that is the case, these limits apply to you only to the extent permitted there. To guard against data loss from a broken or lost device, we recommend keeping your own copy of important notes.

7. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will publish the change on this page. Important changes will also be announced in the app.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, and disputes concerning the app fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Japan. This does not deprive you of any consumer protections that the mandatory law of your country of residence grants you and that cannot be waived by agreement.
